Cleveland Empowerment Foundation Makes Donation

CEF Donation.JPG

On December 21, 2023, the Cleveland Empowerment Foundation presented a donation in the amount of $6,500 to the Alcorn State University Foundation.  The Cleveland Empowerment Foundation (CEF) is the nonprofit arm of The Kirkland Group that supports afterschool and summer programs for middle school students. The programs focus on literacy, mathematics, science, physical education, and the arts. The CEF scholarship fund was established in honor of Malcoln Kirkland, Jr. to help students attending a historically black college or university in Mississippi. The CEF board chair, Carla Kirkland, along with the other board members are very appreciative to everyone who provided contributions towards the scholarship.
